More school children, Garlandians, Shammies & Chucklers
As the opening song ('Take It Away') finishes we meet Sam and Sammy, two very-nearly-ordinary children, on their way to school. It's Monday morning and along with their new friend, the disorganised Milly, they run the gauntlet of snide and mocking comments from the other children, who consider them to be a little odd! To the song 'Monday Morning Blues' the children settle down to Miss McGregor's miserable maths test. This test reveals what in fact is at the root of Sam and Sammy's unusual friendship - they are telepathic! They can send secret messages to each other, an ability which can come in very useful at times!
Following the song 'Telepathic Messages' Sam and Sammy spend a sneaky break time using the internet on their classroom computer, a machine which has miraculously become a portal to another world! With Milly in tow they are transported to the magical world of Garlandia, having been summoned by Lord Sipply and his daughter, Duchess Mindy. They need help to rid Garlandia of the evil General Gok ('General Gok's Song') and his army of terrifying 'Shammies', who have begun to take over this once peaceful land and kidnap its citizens!
When General Gok kidnaps Milly and Mindy, (song - 'A Friend In Need) Sam and Sammy vow to use their telepathic abilities to rescue their friends and defeat the bully (song - 'We'll See This Through'). Helped by Sipply and the keen, but bumbling, superhero Sogaar ('Sogaar's Song') they try to discover how to halt the ever-expanding army of Shammies. Having negotiated a way past the bizarre inhabitants of the village of Chucklefield ('Chucklers' Song'), they make it to Lake Sham, just as Gok is preparing to transform innocent Garlandians into Shammies by immersing them in its magical waters (song - 'The Shammy Shimmy'). In a thrilling climax, with an impressive display of bravery and unity, the good guys literally pull the plug on the villains, and Garlandia is saved ('Song Of The Sunrise'). After a fond farewell the children make the return journey to their beloved school, where things don't seem quite the same as when they left! With a rousing musical finale the curtain falls on Sam and Sammy - true heroes and true friends!
