‘I loved the script and songs as they were entertaining and very funny. Another bonus was that I was able to 'eek' out 32 speaking parts for the children. This was very handy as I didn't end up with lots of children sitting around bored whilst the rest rehearsed. The stage directions, sound effects and character descriptions were also very useful. The children that watched the show (pre-school and younger siblings) enjoyed watching a traditional tale that they were familiar with, whilst the adults roared with laughter at the very funny punch lines. Thank you very much for being so helpful in the planning stages. We will definitely be in touch next year!’

"I felt compelled to write and thank you for your excellent musical. The audience were ecstatic! Several members of staff were moved to tears, and at the end, the headteacher, who was crying with laughter, told parents that it was a 'scarily accurate portrayal of life in a primary school!' "Unfortunately, on the first night we had a power cut ten minutes into the production, but the songs were so well written that the children were able to carry on regardless without the music. Luckily the second night was a complete success - we kept the second night strictly for parents and families of the children performing, and the feedback has been fantastic. Our new school hall was finished in May, so this was our first ever leaver's production - it will be hard to follow next year, but we have already bought School Daze ready for the event! The Wonderful Days song was a real tear-jerker. Thank you so much, it has made our year (and I've lost count of the number of people who have told me this is the first ever Y6 group not to get "post SATs attitude" as they had the play to work on.)"

"I think it's a really excellent piece of work - lively, fun, witty and full of opportunities for the kids. Andrew has certainly shown that there needn't be anything dull about the study of history. I really enjoyed the variety of the songs and the range of musical styles included. In particular I could imagine the kids having great fun with 'Bunch of Losers' and 'Chop Chop Brother'; but all the songs offer plenty of opportunity for fun and interplay between the various performers."

I don't know where you get all your ideas from. The adults watching were in fits. The infant scene produced out loud laughter from the children just in the first read through! Everyone really enjoyed it, especially as you could adapt the script so easily to accommodate your school and the characters in it.
